My show partner Darrel Nelson's pattern (the image on the right) was repeated on the dress. There are four more like this, whose dress patterns and colors were inspired by Darrel's drawings.

This new style of LITTLE BUDDHA was developed to feature night creatures. Do you see a bat hanging upside down from his left hand?
The bust of my mother is also completed. I chickened out from emailing her a photo of this sculpture at the greenware stage, as I did not think she would appreciate herself portrayed with wrinkles and misfit dentures. With colors added, this piece resembles to her now. Her delightfulness is well captured. I am going to send this photo to her.
My friend named this sculpture "Being." She is "being" peaceful, centered, and authentic. This expresses the state of being that I wish to have. The representation of water is now lifted up slightly, giving the sculpture an impression of floating.
So far I have made standing and sitting Little Buddhas. With this reclining one added to the series, 11 of them will be displayed at the upcoming show. The first two have been already bisque-fired. I will be busy coloring the buddhas from now on.
