This is my second standing figure. I encountered unanticipated problems one after another while creating this piece. It certainly challenged my fixing skills to the max. Persistence and creative problem solving sometimes require in making art. It's a lot like life, I think.

A background image is added now, though I could improve the drawing of hands. Do you see the subtle image of them? What kind of message do you receive from this compilation? Your input is appreciated.
I made a pedestal for this piece. In order to make the sculpture meaningful, I calligraphed a buddhist teaching on the box. Does the calligraphy bother you? What do you think of its location and size?
The translation of the calligraphy is "There is only one moon in the above, but it is reflected on every surface of water." The moon represents the Buddha, and his reflection is within every one of us. In other words, each human being carries the Buddha-Nature. This sculpture with the pedestal will be displayed in Emerson Center for Arts and Culture in Bozeman, MT. The Figures & Portrait Show will be on from June 10 to August 7, 2020. Please go to see it if you happen to be around. This is the last piece I made so far this year. I will be happily back in sculpting (and gardening). Please stay safe and healthy.
 A 4-leaf clover is hidden in the back of the wreath. I wish you a lucky charm with this piece.
