While sculpting this piece, I thought often of resilience. My endeavor trying to emerge as an artist (I just received another rejection) is a minor matter compared to grassroots movements that people have been engaged in for decades, sometimes, with only little accomplishment. May this piece encourage people to continue working toward justice!
Do the horns look like bison's? Do the hair and the left side of neck remind you of rock cliffs? Do the bison cow and calf at the right lower corner bother you?

Emotions just radiate off your pieces. Everything is well done, but nothing is merely well done, it is all a giant step above that.
